Your reflection Fr.Tony draws me back to the importance of discernment in the Ignatian tradition.

Karl Rahner writes: “The devout Christian of the future will either be a mystic, one who has experienced ‘something,’ or will cease to be anything at all.”

Rahner pulls no punches. God is saying to many of us in well to do places (members of the OECD for example) “you have been gifted with a mystical experience of God’s love. Much has been given and therefore much is expected. What are you going to do now?”
