We see ourselves in the call of the first disciples (John 1:35-42).
We meet Jesus. He asks:
What do you want?
Deeply attracted to him – intrigued by his persona – we ask:
Where do you live?
Jesus issues an irresistible invitation:
Come and see.
It is around four on a summer’s afternoon. We go ‘and see where he lives, staying with him the rest of the day.’
We get little sleep. We have been ‘divinely disrupted.’
‘Early next morning’, we tell family and friends that ‘we have found the Messiah.’
Some think we are mad, others not so.
Amen.
Thank you for these wonderful teachings and for the beautiful illustrations. Uplifting!
